Sheriff s Office Identifies Wednesday s Standoff Suspect
SAN ANGELO, TX – The Tom Green County Sheriff s Office released more information about Wednesday s standoff.

According to the Tom Green County, on Jan. 6 at approximately 10:30, investigators from the Tom Green County Sheriff s Office Criminal Investigation Division were conducting surveillance on a known felony fugitive.
As the fugitive was entering a vehicle, he observed investigators and began to flee in the vehicle. Investigators began to follow and as the fugitive rounded a corner at high speed he lost control and rolled the vehicle.

On Dec. 8, deputies arrested Elizabeth L. McCombs, 27, on charges of first-degree promoting prison contraband, a class D felony, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class A misdemeanor.
Deputies allege that on June 1, 2019, McCombs was an inmate in the Livingston County Jail and was found to be in possession of illegal contraband believed to be fentanyl. The suspected opiate was sent to a forensic lab for testing.
McCombs was arrested after lab results confirmed the drugs were in fact fentanyl, according to the Sheriffâs Office.
