Deputies investigating Tristyn Bailey case respond to ‘social media activity’

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday issued a community alert addressing messages that have been made on social media by various accounts in reference to the Tristyn Bailey investigation.
Bailey, 13, was reported missing Sunday and found dead hours later in her St. Johns County neighborhood. Aiden Fucci, a 14-year-old who deputies described as a schoolmate at Patriot Oaks Academy, was arrested on a charge of second-degree murder.

During a Monday news conference when Fucci’s arrest was announced, Sheriff Robert Hardwick made note of their being a lot of false information floating around on social media.

A SNAPCHAT of a teen flashing a peace sign and asking has anyone seen Tristyn lately? is being investigated after a 14-year-old was charged with her murder.
Tristyn Bailey was last seen in St Johns, Florida, on Sunday morning after being reported missing by her family at 10am.

Aiden Fucci, 14, was arrested on Sunday evening and today he was charged with second-degree murder.
Fucci was a fellow student at the school that Tristyn went to.

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. â Authorities say a teenager is facing a murder charge for the death of a 13-year-old girl who was at the center of a Florida Missing Child Alert on Sunday.
Tristyn Bailey was reported missing in the morning by her family. By that evening, authorities said a body believed to be Bailey was found. On Monday, Sheriff Robert Hardwick announced the arrest of a 14-year-old for second-degree murder.
