Anglers are starting to find some crappies in the shallow bays. CO Chelsey Best (Crosslake) worked fishing, turkey hunting, trapping, burning, and ATV activity this past week. Enforcement action was taken for trapping issues, no fishing licenses, ATV-registration issues, operating an ATV in a wetland, and targeting game fish out of season. Assistance was provided for illegal burning. Two ATV safety classes were conducted. Littering along ATV trails was the biggest issue this past week.

The proposal photo, posted on Facebook on Tuesday, showed two white students holding a sign that read: If I was Black I d be picking cotton, but I m white so I m picking you. Prom? In a message to parents on Wednesday, which was provided to Newsweek, the school district said it had received a number of threats towards our schools in connection with the prom proposal.

CLOUD  A St. Cloud man made his first appearance in Sherburne County Court Monday in connection with the death of a 25-year-old man whose body was found last November near St. Cloud Regional Airport. Ricco Dejon Tyson, 43, is charged with second-degree murder and first-and second-degree manslaughter in the death of Tyler Ecklund, according to a Sherburne County press release.
