Volunteers Provide Supplies To Okmulgee Residents Displaced By Flash Flooding
People displaced by the flash flooding that brought more than ten inches of rain in Okmulgee earlier this month still need help.
Volunteers have been able to use an empty Warehouse Market off 8th Street as a distribution center, providing storm victims with all kinds of supplies.
Pastor Rocky Ausbrooks at The Refuge Church said they ve been able to serve more than 200 families.
“North Star Bridge and 180 Disaster Relief brought in a bunch of great stuff,” Ausbrooks said.
Ausbrooks is just one of many volunteers who ve dedicated their time to organize and distribute supplies, as they re still trying to get the city back to normal.
