It’s the leg up families need when they’re seeking a fresh start after escaping domestic violence.
On Saturday, Dec. 5, piles of household goods and personal essentials were donated to A Safe Place, in addition to raising almost $20,000 in cash (including one major $10,000 contribution from one donor). All of the funds and goods will help the clients in the New Beginning Program, which helps families who are starting over with nothing and gives them supplies to equip their households when they leave the local women’s shelter.
