Ever since his diagnosis with lymphoblastic leukemia on September 24, 2018, the Aransas County Independent School District and other groups have supported now-eight year old Cayson Rodriguez under the battlecry 'Cayson Strong'.
Chico couple honored by TIME magazine for animal shelter support efforts
Shelly and Eric Rogers of Chico were honored for being Foster Heroes in 2020 for their work supporting Chico Animal Shelter programs.

CHICO, Calif. - Since 2012 Shelly and Eric Rogers of Chico have taken in 89 foster dogs and 18 kittens, often the most elderly, sick, or injured animals that came through the Chico Animal Shelter.
The Rogers also provided fospice care for five dogs that had only six months left to live.
These dogs, and the Rogers themselves, were highlighted in a TIME magazine profile video on Dec. 9, 2020.
