Shaker Sustainability Committee Recaps 2020 Accomplishments
The Shaker League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan organization. Members attend City, School and Library meetings and write observer reports. Here are the highlights of City Council’s February 11 Sustainability Committee meeting.
• Completed an energy audit of city buildings and discussed changes with Public Works
• Received NE Ohio Public Energy Council community and Electric Vehicle grants
• Analyzed the City fleet for changes in vehicles and to add EV charging stations
• Continued analyzing solar power scenarios and got quote for police and court buildings
• Continued work for LEED for Cities certification

Park Synagogue invites all to enjoy a fun evening of music talk when it presents “Rock and Roll Jews,” via Zoom, at 6:45 p.m. Feb. 13.
The evening will begin with a brief Havdalah service to mark the end of the Sabbath. Following the service, Dave Milberg, a veteran radio DJ who has been broadcasting since 1965, will present.
