WICHITA, Kan. Officials say a man hit last week by a truck in the parking lot of a Wichita airplane parts manufacturer has died from his injuries.
The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office says 48-year-old Jason Lee Patrick, of Haysville, died Tuesday night in a hospital.
Officials say Patrick was an employee of Spirit AeroSystems in Wichita and was walking in the company’s parking lot early Friday morning when he was hit by a pickup truck driven by a 39-year-old man.

The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office identified 48-year-old Jason Patrick, of Haysville, as the man who died after a pedestrian crash at Spirit.
Patrick was hit on the morning of April 23, while walking on Spirit AeroSystems property near Gate 13. Although Patrick was hit on the 23rd, the Sheriff’s Office reports he passed away from injuries on the evening of April 27.
Officials say Patrick was hit by a man man driving a GMC pickup, but more specific details on the crash have not been made public.

The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 30-year-old man for a fatal shooting at a mobile home.
42-year-old Nathan Brock and 41-year-old Trisha Benjamin were found dead in a home early Saturday. They were discovered after deputies had been called to check reports of gunshots at a mobile home part near K-15 and MacArthur.
The suspect in this case was booked into jail on two charges of first-degree murder and one charge of interfering with law enforcement.
So far, the Sheriff’s Office has not said what led up to this shooting.
