The Santa Cruz County Sheriff s Office reports it is investigating a shooting that happened on Soquel Drive earlier today.
Soquel Drive has been closed between Chanticleer Avenue and Winkle Avenue while the investigation continues.
The Sheriff s Office said one person has been taken to an out-of-county hospital.
A sheriff’s spokesman said the man was shot while on the sidewalk but could not provide any other information.
