ANOTHER 21 patients have died after testing positive for coronavirus at the trust which runs Colchester Hospital. The latest NHS England figures from today show 21 new deaths have been announced at the East Suffolk and North Essex Trust, which runs Colchester and Ipswich hospitals. A total of 894 patients have now died with Covid at the trust. One more patient has also died at the Essex Partnership University Trust, which runs mental health services in Essex, 14 more at the Basildon and Thurrock University Hospitals Trust, 13 more at Mid Essex Hospitals Trust and eight more at the Southend University Hospitals Trust. Across England a further 609 patients have died with Covid in hospitals.

Two more patients have also died with Covid at the Essex Partnership University Trust, which runs mental health services across the county. A further 18 patients have died at Mid Essex Hospitals Trust, 13 at the Basildon and Thurrock University Hospitals Trust and 18 more at Southend University Hospitals Trust. NHS England confirmed the deaths of another 993 patients with Covid in hospitals across England on Friday.
ANOTHER 33 people have died after testing positive for coronavirus at the trust which runs Colchester Hospital. It is one of the highest daily increases in the number of Covid deaths at the East Suffolk and North Essex Foundation Trust (ESNEFT) since the start of the pandemic. Another grim milestone has also been passed at ESNEFT as of yesterday with a total of 801 Covid patients having now died at Colchester and Ipswich hospitals. Less than a month ago on Christmas Day the total number of deaths at the trust was 517. The trust does not release specific figures for how many deaths took place at each hospital.
