Eight labourers injured in Ganderbal road accident
SRINAGAR: At least eight labourers were injured when a vehicle they were travelling in met with an accident in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district early Saturday.
Official sources said that the vehicle carrying labourers from Doda in Jammu region turned turtle at Margund Kanagan on Srinagar-Leh national highway in which eight labourers were injured.
The injured, including driver of the vehicle, were rushed to a local hospital. Later, two of them, who were seriously injured, were referred to S K Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) for specialized treatment, they added.

SRINAGAR: Around a dozen medical shops were on Tuesday sealed outside the SK Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) and other localities in Soura after the owners and two salesmen were found unvaccinated.
Officials informed that a special drive was launched by Tehsildar Eidgah, Ishfaq Khan today to check whether all medical shops’ owners and salesmen have been vaccinated.
Khan told that soon after launching the drive from Soura hospital to Nowshera, around a dozen medical shop owners and salesmen were found unvaccinated, following which the shops were sealed.
Physicians of district jail, HC dispensary Jammu among 103 deployed on COVID duty
Srinagar, May 25 (UNI) Consultant physicians of police hospital, district jail and High Court (HC) dispensary Jammu are among 103 doctors from different hospitals being deployed in two 500-bedded temporary COVID hospitals in Jammu and Srinagar with immediate effect.
However, no doctor from S K Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Government Medical College (GMC) hospitals Srinagar and Jammu and other main hospitals were transferred to these COVID hospital from their present place of posting in these hospitals.
Recently, after the Union Territory (UT) of Jammu and Kashmir government announced to set up two COVID hospitals and deployment of doctors from different district and other hospitals.
