The Syracuse Mets came back from five runs down to take a lead, but the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders offense was too much as the Mets fell to the RailRiders, 15-10, on Sunday afternoon. Jake Hager went 4-for-4 with two walks for the Mets, extending his hitting streak to six games. Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (5-1) jumped out to a 5-0 lead over the first three innings. Trey Amburgey had an RBI single in the first inning for a 1-0 edge, Luke Voit knocked in two runs with a double in the second for a 3-0 advantage, and Amburgey hit a two-run home run in the third to make it a 5-0 ballgame.

Miguel Andújar is on his way back to the Bronx. The Yankees called up Andújar to their big-league roster on Friday morning, replacing right-hander Albert Abreu, who was optioned down to Triple-A. Andújar played for the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders for three games, during their opening series of the 2021 minor league season, starting in left field each time out. After an 0-for-4 night in his first game, Andújar has been red hot at the plate.  Over his last two contests, Andújar has gone 6-for-11 with three home runs and five RBI. On Thursday night, Andújar went 4-for-5, slugging two long balls while driving in three runs in the RailRiders 17-11 win over the Syracuse Mets.

Bruce Maxwell was a triple shy of the cycle tonight for the Mets, collecting five RBIs in the game. Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (2-1) struck first in the top of the first inning. A Miguel Andujar single scored Greg Allen from second base for a 1-0 lead.
