The facility has been under lockdown since 2:30 p.m. Monday. It’s unclear when the inmates and staff first tested positive: Schenectady County Sheriff Dominic Dagostino didn’t return requests for comment, but a news release issued Tuesday morning said the positives are the first at the Veeder Avenue facility since the onset of the pandemic. The county Sheriff’s Office is working with the state Commission of Corrections, the county Health Department and CFG Health Systems, which is the health care provider for the correctional facility, according to the statement.

bohara@leaderherald.com AMSTERDAM An arrest has been made in relation to a bomb threat made at the Target Distribution Center in November. Isa Barros, 21, of Schenectady was charged by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies on Monday with making a terroristic threat for allegedly calling in a bomb threat. Barros turned himself in to authorities for the incident that occurred in November in which he allegedly called in a bomb threat at the Target Distribution Center. At approximately 12:18 p.m. on Nov. 16, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office 911 Dispatch Center received a call reporting a bomb threat at the Target Distribution Center.
