Second man charged after woman detained – Wolli Creek
A second man has been charged after a woman was allegedly detained and her home ransacked in Wolli Creek earlier this week.
About 5.30pm on Wednesday (27 January 2021), a 22-year-old woman was allegedly approached by two men as she left a Wolli Creek supermarket.
The men allegedly threatened her before forcing her to take them to her Levey Street unit, where they ransacked the home and stole a number of items.
The woman was able to contact a friend, and police were informed and attended the unit block.
Officers from St George Police Area Command located the men and woman in the foyer and arrested a 37-year-old man.

Police charge man with high-range PCA after being reported for dangerous driving during Australia Day Operation
Police have charged a man with high range PCA in Port Stephens after a member of the public reported him for dangerous driving before confiscating his keys when he pulled over, during the Australian Day road-safety operation.
Between 12.01am last Friday (22 January 2021) and 11.59pm last night (Tuesday 26 January 2021), officers from Traffic and Highway Patrol Command with assistance from Police Area Commands and Police Districts conducted Operation Australia 2021 across NSW.
About 6.50am on Sunday (24 January 2021), police received reports from a motorist that the driver of a Nissan Navara was driving dangerously on the Pacific Highway near Heatherbrae, Port Stephens.

Murder charge laid after woman’s death – Wolli Creek
A man will appear in court today charged with murder following the suspicious death of a woman at Wolli Creek last year.
About 3.30pm on Saturday 27 June 2020, emergency services were called to Chisolm Street after a man was found seriously injured on the footpath.
The 21-year-old man was seriously injured after falling from a unit block on nearby Brodie Sparks Drive. He was taken to St George Hospital, where he remains receiving treatment.
As part of inquiries, officers from St George Police Area Command attended a unit on Brodie Sparks Drive the following day (Sunday 28 June 2020), where they located the body of a woman.
