Macaskill-Smith is currently working in New Zealand, Australia, United Kingdom and the Middle East with start-ups, non-Governmental organisations, private and public sector organisations in advisory and governance roles. But after 20-odd years with Pinnacle – a network of general practices and a community service provider, managing the healthcare of thousands of Waikato patients – and six with Ventures – dedicated to exploring what’s next in the health system – Macaskill-Smith knew it was time to try something different. In mid-2020, he resigned as chief executive of Pinnacle Ventures. A recent school newsletter to students and parents stated Macaskill-Smith was passionate about “producing critical thinking leaders of tomorrow, equipped to make a difference.”

Principal of top private school resigns amid bullying investigation Thu, 27 May 2021, 1:01PM
The principal of St Peter s School in Cambridge has resigned amid an investigation into bullying at the school prompted by a number of complaints to Worksafe.
A school spokeswoman this afternoon told the
Herald principal Dale Burden had resigned, effective tomorrow, but would not be returning to the school.
Earlier this month questions arose about the absence of Burden and his wife, and deputy principal, Yevette Williams who had not been seen at the school since before the end of the first term.
