A dad-of-two was shot while his daughter was close by and saw him bleeding as he fell to the ground outside a West Derby property.
Sunday league football manager Nicky Ayers was gunned down outside his mother-in-law s home in West Derby.
The 46-year-old was shot seven times at close-range on South Cantril Avenue, three hours after leaving his relative s house at 9.30pm, on April 29, 2010,
The Western Approaches football boss had spent the evening having dinner at his relative s address and watching Crimewatch on TV before going to meet a friend on nearby Meadow Lane and then heading to a chip shop at 11.30pm.

International drug gang linked to two murder investigations
Two men were killed three years apart in fatal shootings in West Derby area of the city

A Merseyside drug gang with international connections was behind two fatal shootings, it has been claimed. Liverpool man Nicky Ayers, 46, was shot dead on South Cantril Avenue, West Derby, on April 29 2010. Three years later on the morning of March 22 2013, Karl Bradley s body was found in the back garden of a house on Penshaw Close, West Derby. Police believe Mr Bradley, 31, was shot dead on the night of March 21.
Both murders have been subject to regular appeals for information from Merseyside Police although the investigations remain unsolved.
