TRINTY, Fla. â The Starkey Family has farmed in the Tampa Bay area for more than 100 years.
The historic family s claim to fruit fame is blueberries. Pick-your-own events at their Trinity farm are extremely popular.
This year, for the very first time,
You can pick as many as you want. U-Picks are $4 per pound. These are a nice variety called Brilliance, and they re very tasty, says Trey Starkey, the farm s head honcho.
For the first three weeks of the season, Starkey strawberries have been just as popular as blueberries. Picking usually starts at 11 a.m., with that day s available crops wiped out by noon.
