Police: Drunk driver plows through pickleball courts in Waite Park The charges were filed this week, months after the incident. Author: Credit: Waite Park Police Department Police this week have identified a man who was charged in January for driving drunk and smashing up pickleball courts in Waite Park and later ramming into another vehicle and then fleeing the scene.  Jose L. Briceno Jr., 26, of Waite Park, was charged in Stearns County District Court in connection to the Nov. 27 incident that left the pickleball courts at River s Edge Park severely damaged.  Police connected the drunk-driving crime to Briceno by matching vehicle debris on the court to a vehicle that had been involved in a hit-and-run crash in St. Cloud.
