Holdingford man suspected of distributing methamphetamine

Times staff report View Comments A Holdingford man is suspected of distributing methamphetamine throughout Central Minnesota, according to a release from the Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force. Brandon Damien Wright, 39, was arrested Monday and taken to Stearns County Jail where he is being held for court on charges of second degree sales of controlled substance, second degree possession of controlled substance and fifth degree possession of controlled substance. The task force conducted a search warrant Monday in the 200 block of Third Street in Holdingford. Inside the residence, investigators located 36.5 grams of suspected methamphetamine, eight suspected MDMA tablets and suspected paraphernalia associated with the use and distribution of controlled substances, according to the task force.

The Sheriff s Office says on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. they were called to the report of a vehicle found in a drainage ditch on the 12000 block of 130th Avenue in St. Wendel Township. Deputies met with family members who were searching for 86-year-old Ambrose Gertken who had been driving the vehicle. Gertken had put his vehicle in the ditch and attempted to walk back to his house. While walking to his home he became lost and disorientated.
