The number of cases recorded in Worcestershire dropped by more than a quarter in a week to 2,275. Despite the fall in new cases across the county in the last seven days, several parts of Worcester, Bromsgrove and Redditch remain Covid hotspots on Public Health England’s coronavirus map due to higher-than-average cases. A total of 61 cases were recorded in King George’s Field in Worcester – which covers WR3 and WR4 postcodes including parts of Astwood Road, Tolladine Road, Langdale Drive, Brickfields Road and Blackpole Road – making it the neighbourhood in the county with the highest number of cases.
