The Archdiocese of America s Department of Greek Education Announces Collaboration with “Ellinopoula.com”
As part of its campaign to support Greek schools, the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America s Department of Greek Education is pleased to announce its collaboration with Ellinopoula.com, the award-winning Greek language e-learning platform.
Ellinopoula.com is designed to make Greek for kids exciting by integrating games, videos, and thousands of interactive educational activities with Greek history and culture. The platform won the Award for Best Online and Distance Learning platform for teaching Greek to Diaspora kids, at the 5th Annual Education Leaders Awards in Athens, Greece.

Two Beechcraft King Air 350 aircraft landed in Greece on Wednesday, as a result of a $18 Million Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) grant to strengthen the capabilities and efficiency of the National Center for Emergency Care’s (EKAV) air ambulance services.
“Our goal in making a grant to strengthen EKAV’s air ambulance services as part of the SNF Health Initiative is to help reach those who might otherwise be excluded from access to health care and give peace of mind to people in Greece who live in areas remote from critical health services,” said SNF Co-President Andreas Dracopoulos.

LOS ANGELES – The UCLA Stavros Niarchos Foundation Center for the Study of Hellenic Culture (UCLA SNF Center) has been awarded a grant from the U.S. Embassy in Greece to support the Athens’ performance of Makriyannis Unplugged, a contemporary retelling of the life and memoirs of Yannis Makriyannis, who played an essential role in the 1821 Greek War of Independence. Written and performed by actor and director Yorgos Karamihos (The Durrells in Corfu; Fugitive Pieces; Like Chef, Like God), the play premieres at UCLA on November 7, 2021.

ATHENS On Wednesday, April 14, two Beechcraft King Air 350 aircraft landed in Greece, the latest result of a grant from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) to strengthen the capabilities and efficiency of the National Center for Emergency Care’s (EKAV) air ambulance services.
This $18 million grant is part of SNF’s $500 million-plus Health Initiative and aims to help ensure prompt, safe air transport for ill and injured patients from remote areas of Greece to central treatment locations across the country and Europe.
