The Strathroy-Caradoc Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance in locating 36-year-old Ashley Wenham of Strathroy. Ashley is described as female, Caucasian, approximately 5’0”, 125 lbs, with green eyes and long dark brown hair. She has numerous tattoos including a flower on her throat.
She was reported missing around 1:30pm on May 28th and was last seen by her family at the end of April. It is believed that Ashley may be in the Chatham area. Family and police are concerned for Ashley’s welfare.

The Strathroy-Caradoc Police Service’s Criminal Investigations Unit investigated a historical sexual assault. On May 31st, 2021, a 48-year-old man who is a resident of Strathroy-Caradoc was subsequently charged with 8 offenses including Sexual Interference and Sexual Assault on a Person Under 16 years of age. To protect the identity of the victim(s) involved the name of the accused will not be released. The male is to appear before the courts in London on July 12th, 2021 to face these charges.

The Strathroy-Caradoc Police Service has recently received concerns from residents and the Manager of the Conservation areas of St. Clair Region Conservation Authority (SCRCA) regarding the Strathroy Conservation area located at 245 Head Street North.
Information has been received that people have been attending the area and observed removing plants e.g. ferns from the Conservation area. There was also a complainant of many visitors leaving dog feces and garbage throughout the trails.
With the nice weather approaching we are so lucky to have these amazing conservation areas in our community to go for a walk, bike ride or spend time with our families. We need to remember to all work together to respect these areas and keep them clean and safe to use.

Strathroy-Caradoc Police were involved in a mild stand off Wednesday. Police tell us around 6pm Wednesday, they received an anonymous call regarding a possible fight inside of a residence in the downtown core. Information was that one male had a knife inside the home attempting to injure people. Police responded and cleared out the residence but one male known to police remained inside the home suspected of having the knife. This male also had outstanding warrants with other jurisdictions.
During the incident the accused assaulted a Peace Officer with a weapon. The officer did not sustain any injuries. With the assistance of OPP, OPP K9, and OPP Emergency Response Unit the man was arrested on the strength of the outstanding warrants and charged with Assault a Peace Officer with a weapon. No other people were injured as a result of this incident.
