HOUSTON A woman claims a Houston store failed to warn of wet paint on the sidewalk entrance which caused her to fall and suffer serious injuries.
Delores Delaguila filed a complaint July 12 in Harris County District Court against Avenue Stores LLC, Stream Realty Partners LP and Stream Realty Partners Houston LP alleging negligence.
Delaguila was a customer at the Avenues Store managed by the defendants on FM 1960 Road in Houston on Aug. 6, 2019, according to her complaint. She claims that as she walked toward the entrance of the store, she stepped on wet paint on the sidewalk. Delaguila alleges her shoes became stuck which caused her to fall forward and hit her face and body on the asphalt and suffer serious injuries. She claims the defendants negligence for not having any warning signs posted in the area and for creating the dangerous condition which posed an unreasonable risk of harm.
