Appeal denied in infant s 2016 death in East Stroudsburg apartment
The Superior Court of Pennsylvania has denied an appeal from Anthony Gudino, who in 2019 was convicted of killing his infant daughter Aurora in an East Stroudsburg apartment.
A jury found Gudino guilty of third degree murder, endangering the welfare of a child and recklessly endangering another person in the five-month-old’s 2016 death. He was sentenced to 23-and-a-half to 47 years in state prison.
According to a press release from the Monroe County district attorney’s office, “Gudino’s appeal was based on the claim that there was no evidence to support that he caused the fatal injuries to the child or acted with the malice required for murder. He also challenged the denial of an involuntary manslaughter instruction to the jury.”
