It marked the first of about 300 doses Central Valley Health District has received and will dispense to health care workers and first responders in the county over the next two weeks, according to Robin Iszler, unit administrator for the health district.

Jamestown woman collects 800 gift baskets for front-line workers The season of giving is upon us and a Jamestown woman is proving, a little bit goes a long way. Written By: Andreas Haffar | 12:19 am, Dec. 22, 2020 JAMESTOWN, N.D. With the COVID-19 pandemic taking a toll, she felt there was no better time than now to do a little something special. Tia Benson, donated 800 gift baskets through Operation Gratitude, a nonprofit helping service men and women, caregivers and front-line health care workers. She got the inspiration for donation baskets from her mother, who did something similar five years ago. Originally planning on just delivering to the Jamestown Regional Medical Center, Benson and more than a dozen volunteers decided to deliver hundreds of gift baskets all across town. The Stutsman County Sheriff s Office, Jamestown Police Department, both city fire departments, and Jamestown Regional Medical Center.

Harlan Vining, 61, Jamestown, was pronounced dead at Jamestown Regional Medical Center after he was transported from the scene by Medina Ambulance Service. The accident occurred at 1:23 p.m. one mile east of Medina on Interstate 94. The patrol said Vining was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado westbound on I-94 near mile marker 231. The vehicle partially entered the median of I-94 as the trailer began to fishtail. The driver overcorrected to the right and the Silverado entered the north ditch of I-94 traveling sideways, causing it to tip and overturn. The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected, the patrol said.

The accident occurred at 1:23 p.m. on Interstate 94 one mile east of Medina. There was freezing rain at the time of the crash and roads were wet and had scattered ice, the patrol said. The patrol said the man was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado westbound on I-94 near mile marker 231. The vehicle partially entered the median of I-94 as the trailer began to fishtail.
