Chelminski, Kasbarian, Richard top Smithfield High School Class of 2021

SMITHFIELD – Three students will share the top of the class this year with two co-valedictorians, Maximilian Chelminski and Cameron Kasbarian, and a salutatorian, Victoria Richard, as Smithfield High School transitions out of its traditional class ranking system.
SHS Principal Dan Kelley said the year was already challenging enough, and students kept the competition tight for top rankings. He said he was proud of the school’s top three, who persevered among a class of 165 students.
Immaculata High School names valedictorian and salutatorian

Olivia Izzo of Somerville and Sean Castellano of Ringoes have been named Immaculata High School Class of 2021 valedictorian and salutatorian.
Immaculata’s Baccalaureate Mass is Thursday, June 3 at 6 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Church with Immaculata High School director Msgr. Joseph Celano as the main celebrant. The graduation ceremony is Friday, June 4 at 6 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Church. Barbara Stevens, assistant superintendent of Catholic Schools, will distribute diplomas. Tickets are required for both events.
In September, Izzo will be attending the University of Connecticut as a biological sciences major within a pre-med track. Among her high school accomplishments are serving as president of the National Honor Society, treasurer of the Spanish Honor Society, member of the Tri-M Music Honor Society, winner of two Presidential Service Awards, special projects coordinator for Student
Coe-Brown Northwood Academy is located in Northwood. It served students from Northwood, Strafford and surrounding towns.
The Valedictorian for the Class of 2021 is
Kira Neal Burk. Kira is the daughter of Allison Neal and Jerry Burk of Barrington. Kira will attend Dartmouth College with an interest in Environmental Science and Environmental Studies with a Sustainability focus.
She would like to work in the area of sustainable policy and development or pursue climate change research. While at CBNB, Kira participated in Girl s Tennis Team, National Honors Society, National English Honors Society, Writing Center, all while working at Golick s Dairy Bar.
The 2021 Salutatorian is
SEVIERVILLE â In addition to teaching Spanish language, culture and history, Lisa Stone oversees projects ranging from Easter egg coloring to collection of plastic bottle caps.
The Sevier County High School teacher was recently recognized with a national award, the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese Secondary Teacher of the Year.
âWe have a state chapter,â Stone said of the association. âEach state nominates one person, and the state board chose me. That was an honor in itself. I was blown away by that.â
Stone teaches Spanish I-IV at SCHS, the school sheâs been at since 2001. She previously taught at Seymour High School for three years.
