TRACKING THE COVID-19 VACCINE Share Updated: 1:29 PM EST Mar 11, 2021 Katie Smithson A former Spartanburg County deputy was arrested Wednesday in connection to a domestic incident, according to officials with SLED.In a news release, officials said Brandon Chase Johnson, 26, was charged with third-degree domestic violence.The incident happened on December 23, 2020, in Spartanburg County.According to arrest warrants, Johnson caused a physical altercation that involved pushing, grabbing the victim s arms and wrists, and punched her in the head. According to Spartanburg County Lieutenant Kevin Bobo, Johnson worked at the detention facility from 2019 until he was terminated yesterday after he was arrested.Johnson was booked into the Spartanburg County Detention Center Wednesday evening.
