Spalding fire station sees Santa fire up his sleigh for drive-through grotto  | Updated: 16:37, 17 December 2020 Santa was in excellent spirits over the weekend after meeting girls and boys at the area’s first drive-through grotto. The grotto at Spalding Fire Station was organised with a view to raising money for The Fire Fighters Charity, after COVID-19 restrictions forced the crew to cancel their annual Santa Sleigh Run. On Saturday, Sunday and Monday, families attended the grotto, where Santa was parked up in his sleigh to greet big and little kids and dancers from Spalding’s Polka Dot Dance Academy were there to entertain visitors.
