Officials in the Springfield-Greene County Health Department are warning the public about the increasing cases of the COVID-19 Delta variant in the community.
Acting Director Katie Towns says the variant is a threat to all ages and they’ve seen the highest number of hospitalizations since January.
89% of the positive cases in June have been people who have not been fully vaccinated.
