Man accused of driving more than 100 mph in Springfield Twp. arrested after deadly crash WKRC UP NEXT
SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKRC) - A suspect has been arrested for allegedly causing a deadly crash while speeding through Springfield Township Saturday morning.
Andre Christopher, 24, faces charges of aggravated vehicular homicide, obstructing official business and driving with a suspended license.
Police said they originally tried to pull over Christopher after spotting him driving faster than 80 mph in the area of West North Bend and Daly Road. He didn t stop and officers lost him.
About ten minutes later, other officers said they spotted the same vehicle on Galbraith Road near Hamilton Avenue going more than 100 mph.
Two children rescued from house fire in Ohio
Springfield Twp., Ohio (WTVG) Two children are safe after being trapped in a house that was on fire in Springfield Township Saturday morning.
According to Springfield Twp. Fire Department, firefighters responded to a 911 call in reference to a house on fire in the 25-hundred block of Michael Lane shortly before 5 a.m.
Captain Tricia White, with the Lucas County Sheriff’s Office, tells 13abc that Deputy Ray Lemble, Deputy Christopher Bunker, and Deputy Craig Barth were in the area and were first to arrive on the scene.
Upon arrival, the deputies heard a young man screaming that his brother and sister were trapped on the second floor of the home, Cpt. White said.
