Delaware County Now Offering Walk-in and Drive-Up COVID-19 Vaccinations

Delaware County is offering COVID-19 vaccination appointments and walk-ins at three Delaware County Government clinics this week, including the Delaware County Wellness Center in Yeadon, the Keystone First Wellness Center in Chester, and Springfield Hospital, and is holding its second week of Pop-Up COVID-19 vaccination clinics in multiple municipalities.
All vaccinations are free, and do not require identification or health insurance.
The Delaware County Wellness Center, located at 1215 Chester Avenue in Yeadon, will offer the Moderna vaccine on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, and will also offer the Pfizer vaccine on Thursday.
In Carroll County, 88% of those 65 and over have been vaccinated. That drops to 77% for 60-64 years old, 59% for those in their 50s, 55% for those in their 40s, 51% for those in their 30s, 42% for those in their 20s and 23% for those aged 12-19

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA Kids 12 and older can now get the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine in Delaware County, officials said Thursday.
The announcement comes on the heel s of the CDC s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practice recommendation of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for those ages 12 to 15.
Delaware County is now offering the Pfizer vaccine at select walk-in and drive-thru clinic locations starting Thursday.

The Pfizer vaccine will be available without the need for an appointment to everyone 12 and older at Springfield Hospital, 190 Sproul Road in Springfield, on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

MEDIA, PA Riddle Hospital is at the top of the pack in the latest hospital safety grades put out by the research group Leapfrog.
The hospital was among 56 across Pennsylvania to receive the top A grade for safety, the study shows. Specifically, the study ranked hospitals based on their ability to protect patients from preventable errors, accidents, injuries and infections.
More than 2,700 general, acute-care U.S. hospitals were assessed nationwide for Leapfrog s Spring Safety Grades.
