During the dumpster fire that was 2020, many new parents looked to the past for baby names.
Old-timey names Eleanor and Leo made Spectrum Health’s lists of top 10 baby names of 2020, according to a news release from Spectrum Health Beat. Eleanor came in at No. 7 on the girls’ list while Leo tied at No. 9 for boys.

1 injured in Mecosta County crash

BIG RAPIDS TOWNSHIP, Mich. â One person was injured during a two-vehicle crash Friday afternoon in Mecosta County.
It happened about 3:20 p.m. on 190
th Avenue near 13 Mile Road in Big Rapids Township, according to a news release.
A 62-year-old woman from Big Rapids turned into the path of an oncoming vehicle as she was turning left into a driveway.
The other vehicle involved was traveling southbound down a hill and was driven by a 25-year-old Big Rapids woman.
The 25-year-old was transported to Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital with injuries that werenât life-threatening.

Pickup driver seriously injured in Ottawa County rollover crash

OTTAWA COUNTY, MI A 29-year-old Conklin man was seriously injured when a pickup went off a road near Marne and rolled, police say.
The Conklin man was driving a Ford Ranger northwest on 16th Avenue, just north of Comstock Street in Wright Township, when he failed to handle a curve in the road. The pickup then rolled.
The crash happened about 4:45 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18.
He was taken by ambulance to Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital.
