MONTCALM COUNTY, Mich. â A motorcyclist was seriously injured after getting hit by a truck Tuesday evening in Montcalm County.
Troopers from Michigan State Policeâs Lakeview Post were dispatched just before 6 p.m. to Coral Road near Masters Road, according to a news release Wednesday.
MSPâs preliminary investigation showed a 2012 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by a 67-year-old Greenville man was traveling east on Coral Road when he failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway, hitting a 2007 GMC pickup truck driven by a 39-year-old Howard City woman.

The motorcyclist, a 67-year-old Greenville man, was flown by Aero Med helicopter to Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital.
The crash was reported at 5:56 p.m. on Coral Road near Masters Road in Montcalm County’s Maple Valley Township.
The investigation showed that the injured man was riding a 2012 Harley-Davidson east on Coral when he failed to negotiate a curve and struck a 2007 GMC pickup truck.

MONTCALM COUNTY, MI A motorcyclist was arrested for suspicion of drunken driving after a passenger fell from his bike, causing a critical head injury.
The 41-year-old driver, Charles L. Simmons of Middleton, was driving the motorcycle on South Main Street near South Shore Drive in Crystal Township about 7:20 p.m. Monday, May 17.
Montcalm County sheriff’s deputies said the driver accelerated fast, causing his 42-year-old passenger to fall from the bike.

CEDAR SPRINGS, MI A 50-year-old Cedar Springs area man was severely injured after explosions and a fire erupted at a mobile home.
Kent County sheriff’s deputies said they think the explosions were related to the possible rupture of several butane tanks in a car port attached to the home.
Firefighters responded about 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, May 4 to the White Creek Country Estates, near White Creek Avenue NE and Egner Street, for the fire on Hemlock Street. The area is about three miles north of Cedar Springs.
