Aaliyah Bramer, 9, of rural Oklee, Minn., wants one thing for Christmas this year.
“I just want my family together. PLEAS,” she wrote on paper with an outline of Santa’s face. Her mom, Ana Bramer, posted the image on Facebook, noting that, with the cancellation of family Thanksgiving plans, “my kids are heartbroken.”
When Aaliyah wrote the message to Santa, she had just found out that her dad’s family had canceled a Thanksgiving get-together, due to the rising number of COVID cases. Those relatives were possibly not going to be able to get together for Christmas, either, so she really wanted to see them on Thanksgiving, Ana Bramer said.
