SALT LAKE CITY â Inside an old post office building in Sugar House, Kimi s Chop & Oyster House is finding ways to safely serve up their signature dishes. The owner, Kimi Eklund, said the focus since re-opening has been all about safety.
âWe have taken extra precautions. I think over and above maybe what the guidelines have been to keep everyone safe,â she said.
It has been a challenging and exhausting, yet uplifting year, Eklund said. It has been amazing to see how many people have cared and stepped up to help, as well as the PPP loans and local grants which helped keep the business afloat, she said.

OSWEGO – The Oswego Jazz Project will join CNY Jazz Central artists to perform original compositions and jazz standards in a free virtual concert for SUNY Oswego at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 12.
After the concert, part of the college music department’s Ke-nekt’ Chamber Music Series, performers will answer questions from the audience live via chat.

CHICO, Calif. - The City of Chico has adjusted its previous budget to allow for new hires at the police department during the pandemic. The four positions we allowed to unfreeze for hiring was animal shelter staff, dispatch, park rangers, and police officers as well, said Chico Mayor, Andrew Coolidge. We want to make sure we fill these positions because of their essential nature.
