How to Host a Spotify Group Listening Party on Discord

Discord lets you host a virtual group listening party by streaming your favorite tracks to your friends using Spotify Premium and the “Listen Along” feature. Here’s how to set it up.
While you can also listen to music with friends using Spotify’s Group Session feature, you can’t chat with them, and you’re limited to only five friends at a time. On Discord, chatting while listening is a breeze.

Spotify Premium users can link the service to Discord and display the music that they listen to in their Discord Status. To do so, launch the Discord app on your PC or Mac. Then, select the gear icon next to your Discord username in the bottom-right corner.

TikTok had already said it would try to reduce misinformation by removing videos flagged by fact checkers for including false information. Today it announced that it will go a step further by flagging videos where the fact checkers’ findings are inconclusive.
For example, the company said that there are cases where fact checkers cannot verify information in a video because events are still unfolding. Those “unsubstantiated” videos will then include a large banner, as well as an additional reminder prompt before users will be able to share them.
This feature is launching in the United States and Canada but will become available globally in “coming weeks.”

A Spotify Group Session allow users to listen to a playlist or podcast simultaneously from anywhere they can access the web player or mobile app.
You must be a Spotify Premium member to access and use the Group Session feature.
Spotify Group Sessions can include anywhere from two to five members who are invited via a custom link.
