Opera Gallery to present Shepard Fairey s ‘Future Mosaic’
DUBAI, February 14, 2021 Opera Gallery is excited to unveil that Shepard Fairey will be showing his very first exhibition of the year at the Dubai gallery in March 2021. Titled ‘Future Mosaic’, the exhibition will feature new works on canvas, paper, wood, and metal, as well as examples of iconic images and repeated motifs from the breadth of his artistic history. Sylvain Gaillard, Director at Opera Gallery Dubai commented: “We are incredibly excited to host Shepard Fairey, one of the world’s most renowned contemporary artists, and his ‘Future Mosaic’ exhibit at our Dubai outpost.”

“There are so few statues dedicated to women ~ I’m excited to be creating a public art sculpture for one of the most iconic intersections in the city that will represent a monument to all women’s stories and their achievements,” said Rania Hassan. “My hope is this monument, Marker, will act as a beacon to spark an interest in the stories shared through the Smithsonian American Women’s History Initiative, and also encourage people to think about the women in their lives, and uncover their own buried histories.”
