JAMMU, June 9: Both the capital cities of Jammu and Kashmir today recorded season’s hottest day and the weatherman has predicted that there will be no immediate relief from dry and hot weather for next 24 hours.
An official of Meteorological Department said that the maximum temperature in Jammu city was recorded today at 42.7 degrees Celsius, three notches above normal while summer capital Srinagar recorded 34.7 degree Celsius, 6.8 notches above normal.
He said the minimum temperature in Jammu was 29.7 degrees Celsius, five degrees above season’s average and the highest till date while Srinagar recorded minimum temperature of 19.8, which was 6.4 degrees above normal.
