Last Sunday, nine motorists were caught Insp Mark Freeman, the man in charge of Wiltshire’s traffic officers, warned: “I know from police driving courses that that sort of speed is really, really quick. Your opportunity to react to stuff is really impaired and, you know, if something does happen then it’s going to be really serious. “When you get into speeds like that the safety for everyone is going to be compromised, the effect is going to be horrific and the likelihood is that some of my officers are going to be knocking on a family’s door and saying someone’s no longer with us.”
