UPDATE: Suspect Wanted for Jersey City Murder Captured in Pennsylvania

Hudson County authorities said Mr. Omire Rios-Williams, the suspect wanted in connection with the May 3rd fatal shooting of a 23- year-old man on Princeton Avenue and Brown Place in Jersey City, was apprehended and arrested without incident this afternoon in Allentown, Pennsylvania. According to police, Rios-Willams, 19, of Jersey City, was apprehended just before 2 p.m. by members of the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Homicide Task Force, the Allentown Police Department, and the Jersey City Police Department at a residence on the 100 block of W. Green Street in Allentown.

On May 3, just before 11 p.m., Jersey City police officers responded to a report of shots fired in the area of Princeton Avenue and Brown Place in Jersey City.

Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Hoboken Police Department are investigating the death of a 34-year-old Elizabeth woman who was found dead early Sunday morning in a parking garage on Hudson and Second Streets in Hoboken. According to Prosecutor Suarez, on Sunday, May 30, 2021, just after 6:00 a.m., Hoboken Police responded to the parking garage at 47 Second Street after calls about an unresponsive woman.
