UNION CITY A 26-year-old New York woman who was sleeping in her car says she was kidnapped to a nearby town and raped by a stranger.
The woman had been inside a vehicle left running in the midtown area of Kennedy Boulevard in Union City.
Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said Wednesday that the victim did not remember whether she had locked her car. But about 10:30 p.m., she said she awoke to an unknown man sexually assaulting her.
When the rapist fled, she realized that she was in the downtown area of North Bergen, officials said.
The victim described the attacker as a light-skinned Hispanic male in his mid-forties with a medium build.

A Union City man, 44, has been charged and arrested for alleged kidnapping, carjacking and aggravated sexual assault of a New York woman, 26, according to Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez. The man allegedly entered the running car she was sleeping in, drove her to North Bergen, and sexually assaulted her.
Juan Gonzalez-Fuentes was charged with Kidnapping, Carjacking, Burglary, two counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault and Aggravated Sexual Criminal Contact. He was arrested at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office in Jersey City just after 9:30 p.m. on April 14.

Juan Gonzalez-Fuentes, 44, was charged with kidnapping, carjacking, burglary, two counts of aggravated sexual assault, and aggravated sexual criminal contact, Suarez said in a statement.
He was arrested at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office in Jersey City just after 9:30 p.m. last night.
On Tuesday, April 13th, at approximately 10:30 p.m., while the victim was asleep in her
boyfriend’s car which was parked and left running on 28th Street off of John F. Kennedy Boulevard in Union City, Gonzalez-Fuentes entered the car and drove the victim to the downtown area of North Bergen, near 2600 Meadowview Avenue.

The man wanted in a kidnapping and sexual assault in North Hudson Tuesday was arrested Wednesday night, the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office said.
The man, 44-year-old Juan Gonzalez-Fuentes of Union City, was arrested at approximately 9:30 p.m. at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office. He is charged with first-degree kidnapping, first-degree carjacking, second-degree burglary, two counts of first-degree aggravated sexual assault and third-degree aggravated sexual criminal contact.
The 26-year-old victim was sleeping in her boyfriend’s car, which was parked on 28th Street just off Kennedy Boulevard in Union City with the engine running Tuesday night at 10:30 p.m., when Gonzales-Fuentes jumped in and drove to the area of 2600 Meadowview Avenue in North Bergen, Prosecutor Esther Suarez said.

A 44-year-old Union City man was arrested and charged with the kidnap and sexual assault of a 26-year-old woman resting in her car earlier this week, authorities said Thursday.
The woman parked her car and left it running in the midtown area of Kennedy Boulevard in Union City when Juan Gonzalez-Fuentes got inside and drove her to a nearby location around around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said.
Gonzalez-Fuentes drove the woman to a downtown area of North Bergen, and woke her up by sexually assaulting her, Suarez said.
Gonzalez-Fuentes fled the scene but was arrested at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office in Jersey City just after 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
