Alliance 4 Universities Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility Programme 2021/2022 for staff and student mobility

Application Deadline:9 April 2021. Alliance 4 Universities has been awarded funds under Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility programme (Action KA107). Through these funds, students and staff from non-European partner universities (see Call for details) and from A4U universities have the opportunity to participate in mobility schemes. Who can apply? The calls are open to Bachelor, Master and PhD students and staff from the participating universities. How long can the mobility be? For Bachelor, Master and PhD students the mobility can be from 3 to 5 months long. For staff, 7 days are covered by the grant: 5 days for teaching (or training, or both) and 2 days for travel.

Dr Nguyen Duc Thanh Thanh said Nguyen Lab, his research team at University of Connecticut, in 2018 was the first team announcing the creation of autolytic piezoelectric polymer sheet used in organ transplantation. The research team made public its studies about nano film, including use to create sensors, ultrasonic vibration heads, and artificial tissues.

In 2019, Vietnam had 73,312 university lecturers working at 237 universities and academies, 37 research institutes, 33 pedagogical junior colleges and 2 intermediate vocational schools (2-year training). Of these, nearly 21,000 lecturers had a doctorate (over 28 percent), and more than 44,700 had a master’s degree (60.9 percent). The figures were double that of 2005, when only 12 percent of lecturers had a doctorate and 32 percent a master’s degree.

VIETNAM NEWS JANUARY 11  11/01/2021    10:30 GMT+7 Many northern schools temporarily close due to strong cold spell Hundreds of schools in the northern region have allowed students to stay at home amid the freezing cold weather when a new strong cold spell has pushed temperature down to below 10 degree C and even under 0 degree C. Lai Chau alone saw 132 schools close, most in mountainous areas. The cold spell has brought rain and dropping temperature, and caused frost and snow in high mountain areas. The most affected provinces include Lai Chau, Lao Cai, Son La, Ha Giang, Cao Bang, Yen Bai, and Lang Son, with temperatures dropping even below 0 degree C in high mountainous areas.
