When N , born in 1992 in Hanoi, was in high school, she realized that she was different from her peers.

She was in the 12th grade but still had not had a menstrual period. After having medical examinations at hospitals, she was told that she had no uterus and no vagina, but the cause was unknown.

VOV.VN - A total of six volunteers on April 12 were given their second shot of the domestically-produced novel coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine known as COVIVAC, which is being developed by the Institute of Vaccines and Medical Biologicals (IVAC).

The group is made up of the same six volunteers who were previously injected with the first shot of the vaccine on March 15.
According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Thi Van Anh, director of Centre of Clinical Pharmacology at Hanoi Medical University, 96 volunteers have now received a dose of the experimental vaccine as part of the first phase of trials.

Two COVID-19 vaccines Nano Covax and Covivac, which were studied and developed in Vietnam, have proved to be safe and effective in the first and second clinical trials.

A total of 551 volunteers were given the second Nano Covax shots in the second stage, including 280 in Long An and 271 in Hanoi while 66 received the first Covivac shots in the first stage. The remaining nine in Hanoi will be vaccinated this week.
