Posted: Apr 12, 2021 9:26 PM Updated: Apr 13, 2021 12:05 PM Posted By: Megan Reyna Since the first shipments of coronavirus vaccine made their way into our state, the Huntsville Hospital System has played a key role in vaccinating North Alabamians.  On Monday, the hospital made it a whole lot easier to sign up for a vaccine at its John Hunt Park clinic.  It launched an online portal to sign up for the first dose. Prior to this system, it would take up to a month for people to get an appointment.

The district said in an announcement Wednesday afternoon that “With the positivity rate at near 10% and indicators from both the Huntsville Hospital System and the ADPH of declining Covid-19 issues, we will return all of our school-based students to an everyday schedule beginning Monday, March 1.” There will still be some virtual days in March for standardized testing.
