Professor Ged Martin Church bells. - Credit: Ellie Hoskins Havering has heard the sound for bells for six centuries. In 1421, Beatrice Curzon, owner of Cranham Hall, bequeathed £5 – big bucks – to install bells at nearby All Saints Church. Havering churches probably already had bells.
