The Hopkinsville International Festival has been cancelled for 2021, with plans for a virtual showcase in the works.
According to a news release, that decision comes after reviewing COVID-19 trends and safety guidelines with health officials. While the International Festival won’t be rescheduled in 2021, organizers do plan to film a brief, socially-distanced video overview that will provide event supporters an opportunity to virtually experience a part of the festival that celebrates the numerous cultures that call Hopkinsville home. Details about the virtual showing will be released in the near future.

The Hopkinsville International Festival has been canceled for the second year because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Officials said the local celebration of world culture was scheduled to return for its 11th year, March 26 and 27, at the Planters Bank-Jennie Stuart Health Sportsplex. Event organizers have opted to forego an in-person format after consultation with local health, safety, and city officials.
While the International Festival will not be rescheduled this year, organizers are planning to film a brief video overview that will provide some of I-Fest’s flavors virtually.
