Two high school students were on their way to the Hamilton Heights prom Saturday evening when they were killed in a vehicle wreck.
The Hamilton County Sheriff s Office identified the students as Lendon Byram and Kalen Hart. Byram was driving and Hart was the front-seat passenger.
Two other high school-aged passengers in the backseat of the car were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff s Office.

ARCADIA, Ind. Hamilton Heights School Corporation was scheduled to have prom on Saturday night. But just before 7 p.m. on Saturday the school canceled prom after receiving news that two high school students died and two others who were injured in a crash on their way to the event.
The students have been confirmed by their respective schools as Hamilton Heights senior Kalen Hart and her date, Cathedral High School junior Lendon Byram.

The two-vehicle crash happened around 5:15 p.m. Saturday. One vehicle, a Honda Accord, had for teens in it. They were on their way to Hamilton Heights High School s prom in Kokomo when their vehicle collided with an SUV.

ARCADIA, Ind. (AP) A car crash killed Indianapolis-area high school students who were on their way to prom, authorities said.
The two-vehicle crash, which also injured two other students, happened around 5:15 p.m. on Saturday. One vehicle, a Honda Accord, had four teens in it. They were on their way to Hamilton Heights High School s prom in Kokomo when their vehicle collided with an SUV. Both vehicles ended up in a field.
The two deceased victims were identified as Lendon Byram, who was driving and Kalen Hart, who was sitting in the front seat.
