Half of U.S. states have fully vaccinated at least 50% of adults, CDC says

Five months after a New York City nurse became the first person in America to get a coronavirus shot, at least 25 states are now reporting that more than half of their adult population has been fully vaccinated a major milestone in the fight against COVID-19.
Data published Sunday by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows that Washington, D.C. has also fully vaccinated at least 50% of people 18 or older and that Maine’s 62.9% rate of fully vaccinated adults is the highest in the country. Connecticut and Vermont are right behind Maine in the vaccination race, with 62.8% and 62.7%, respectively.

Georgia Has No More Coronavirus Deaths And 215 New Cases Monday, May 24, 2021 Georgia state health officials reported on Monday there have been no additional deaths due to the coronavirus. The current total remains at 17,930. There are 215 new cases, as that total reaches 893,624 confirmed cases of coronavirus. Hospitalizations are at 63,224, which is an increase of 35 from Sunday. Hamilton County Has 1 More Coronavirus Death, 29 New Cases; Tennessee Has 6 More Deaths Monday, May 24, 2021
Hamilton County had 29 new coronavirus cases reported Monday, bringing the total to 45,004. There has been one more death from the virus, as the total is now at 499 in the county. There are 35 patients hospitalized and 15 in Intensive Care Units. Four more are hospitalized with suspected cases of COVID. The number of those who have recovered from coronavirus in Hamilton County is 44,139, which is 98 percent, and there are 366 active cases.
The number of coronavirus cases in Tennessee is at 860,966 on Monday with 193 new cases. There have been six more deaths from the virus, for a total of 12,393 State Health Department officials said.
