A VAN driver allegedly without insurance, who police said later failed a drugs test was stopped by police in Romsey last night. The white vehicle was pulled over by Hampshire Roads Policing team at around 9pm on Monday (April 26), and the driver was found to be without tax and insurance. Hampshire police tweeted about the incident, revealing that the driver had been arrested and the vehicle seized. The Daily Echo has contacted Hampshire Constabulary for more information. Police responded at 4.15am to the incident which took place on the A31 near to the junction for the M27. Hampshire Roads Policing team tweeted an image of the McLaren car down a ditch at the side the road this morning. Please be careful on the roads this morning. There is still plenty of standing water around, causing a risk of aquaplaning. Unfortunately the driver of this vehicle found this out the hard way on the #A31! Luckily driver was uninjured!
