Man loses finger at Houston factory, lawsuit alleges

HOUSTON A Houston metal fabrication company is facing a negligence claim after a worker s finger was cut off while working at their facility. Sabah Waeli filed a complaint Feb. 12 in Harris County District Court against BWFS Industries LLC, BWFS Industries RE ETH LLC, BWFS Industries RE H 59 LLC and Eduardo Vallejo alleging negligence. Waeli alleges in his complaint that while working at BWFS s facility in Houston on Aug. 27, 2019, he was seriously injured when he tried to help Vallejo fit a large gate over the vessel. Waeli claims Vallejo pushed the gate into his hand and caused his finger to be cut off. He alleges that no one at the facility would help him recover and resume work and that BWFS dismissed him stating they would no longer hire him.

Suit alleges negligent care at Baylor St Luke s led to patent s death

Pixabay HOUSTON Baylor St. Luke s is facing a suit alleging their negligent medical care led to a patient s death from aspiration pneumonia. Erik Mirrow, individually as heir of Seymour Morris Mirrow and as executive of the Estate of Seymour Morris Mirrow, filed a complaint Feb. 12 in Harris County District Court against Chi St. Luke s Health Baylor College of Medicine Medical Center doing business as Baylor St. Luke s Medical Center alleging negligence. Seymour Mirrow was admitted to Baylor St. Luke s on Nov. 23, 2018, to be treated for dehydration, according to the plaintiff s complaint. The plaintiff alleges that during Seymour Mirrow s eight day stay at Baylor, a foreign/fluid substance got into his lungs and claims the substance was something the hospital staff provided for his nutrition or medication.
